Meet Our Donors

On behalf of Butterfield Trail Village Foundation, we would like to thank all of our current donors for their generosity and support. Here are some of their stories.

Mildred Boettcher lived a long and fruitful life at BTV. She enjoyed her retirement years here so much that she chose to include the BTV Foundation in her will, making the change some years after coming here. Her love for the staff and residents resulted in a $40,000 gift from her estate that supports Foundation operations and support for the creation of the Moving Made Easy program and the Where There’s A Will, There’s A Way educational forum.

2008 Wireless Internet Founding Sponsors

Please be sure to thank the following generous donors whose support insures the BTV Wireless Internet Service is free for BTV residents, their families and friends!

Francis Beaty, George and Bettie Cook, Dorothy Covington, Herbert Donhowe, Robert and Louise Garnett, Max and Mary Johnston, Klaude and Mable Kendrick, Jay and Polly Lancaster, Helen McElree, Rex and Ginny McGueen, Maurice Merry-Ship, Rick and Mary Meyer, Tom and Lois Miller, Mary Ogden, Dorothy Reed, Millie Wentz, Nolan Williams, Jesse and Mildred Wilson and Clarence and Dorothy Young.

The choice of Velma Smith – to leave her entire estate to support the BTV community – resulted in the BTV Foundation becoming a full time program using interest from the gift to fund operations. In 2007, the BTV Foundation was able to leverage the interest income to return twice the amount to BTV in the form of grants for programs and services at BTV due to the generosity of Ms. Smith.
