Designated Funds Program

We manage a variety of Funds that support programs and services of specific interest to BTV residents. To make a contribution, simply use our online donation form and indicate in the Other Comments section which Fund you would like to direct your gift toward.

General Fund: This all purpose Fund provides grants for a variety of community projects as well as purchases of capital items for BTV such as furniture, electronic equipment, garden benches, etc. The General Fund is also used to supplement other Funds if needed.

Library Fund: Books, as well as the Library computers and printers, are purchased and maintained with gifts to this Fund.

Employee Scholarship Fund: Employee's who have worked at BTV at least six months for twenty hours per week or more are eligible to apply for a maximum $1,500 grant to pay for tuition, fees, travel expenses, conference registrations and other expenses related to training and education that enhances the employee's job skills.

Endowed Scholarship Fund: Donations to the Endowed Fund are invested in perpetuity with earned interest Funding scholarships. Naming opportunities are available when an Endowed Fund reaches a minimum of $35,000.

Fitness Fund: Fitness grants are used to purchase exercise equipment and to underwrite the annual BTV Health Fair.

Computer Fund: Contributions to the Computer Fund assist in paying the annual service fees to provide complementary wireless internet access to BTV residents, staff and visitors.

Birds/Wildlife Fund: National Wildlife Sanctuary membership, nature programs, butterfly perennial gardens and more are supported by contributions to this Fund.
